#AprilPrompts- Day 5 – Intimacy – #NaPoWriMo

INTIMACY

4-5-2013-APRILPROMPTS-DAY 5- INTIMACY

Honeymoon Whisper.
"As long as we have intimacy
We will endure anything
Life brings."

Held each other.
Helped each other
Laughed together
Loved together.

Friends
Lovers
Clasped hands
Kissed often.

Flowers
Long walks
Hugs in passing
Smiles from a window.

Quietly
Along the way
Something changed
Passion vanished.

Ignite the spark again
As it once was
Where it was missing now
Her course set.

Candle lit dinners
Soft touches, smiles
Kisses when near
Loving whispers.

Asleep after dinner
Touches shrugged off
Kisses averted
Rants replaced flirts.

Soft presses
For intimacy
Gentle efforts
Rebuffed.

Rejected
Resigned
Lonely
Silent pain.

Rushed to Emergency
Then I.C.U.
Collapsed
Worried.

False alarm
Thunderstruck by her sight
Passion springs to life
At the thought of death.

sorry it exceeds the word limit but didnt see how i could build this story and character without enough background. i have no idea where the story will go but i would like to use it for future challenges. thanks.

this is a very moving poem. I loved it. Yes, we do take our beloved for granted until sometimes we are fortunate to rediscover them. 🙂

Thanks Tonia. I think we’re all guilty of taking folks for granted, unfortunately; it’s usually the ones we love the most. Thanks for posting; I look forward to reading more of the story…I think ;0)

Thank you so much for adding my Poem to your post!

I shall do the same for you today!

Bubble’s is such an incredible person I was inspired by her words almost instantly!

Your Poem is such a powerful, emotional, and moving example of how we experience intimacy in life and how certain things heighten it and increase happiness and pleasure.

A excellent topic for a poem! A chance to look at intimacy with dedicated eyes and focused determination, so that we don’t take moments like those for granted!

I hope to someday be able to express things the way you did in this poem,With ease and comfort joy and precision!

Thanks again for doing this for my poem!

It truly means the world to me! =]

This is really moving, Donna. I love the way your poem takes you through the different stages of a relationship and how, when a person comes close to losing someone they love, their feelings are re-ignited. AWESOME!!
