Whoopee, I am so excited! I won a PIG HAIKU CONTEST this week, and will be receiving a copy of Bridget Zinn’s POISON over at children’s book author and editor, Tamson Weston Books.
Ms. Weston offers a wide range of services for authors, illustrators, agents and publishers, so please be sure to check out her site.
I’ve been writing a poem a day for National Poetry Writing Month, but this little piece is one of my favorites…
PIG
She awaits her slop
Grunts, wiggling her pink round self
Crinkled snout kisses
Thanks Tamson, and congratulations Carter and Barb! :0)
Wooohooo, Ima proud of you. You are a winner in my book always!
BTW, I have started collecting piggies. My grandbebe is a piggie in the chinese horoscope. He doesnt know this fact, but loves the piggies i am buying for him. They are hard to find in non-pink colors. And my mom who is a goat..well, those are even harder to find.
Oh thank you kindly! I adore piggies…did I tell you I have 3 pet goats? I’m a rat!
Day late, but congratulations!! Pigs are so undervalued, haha – except that whole teacup pig phenomenon which is kind of bizarre. Anyway, well done!!
I follow a breeder of teacup piglets on FB…they’re sooo cute. :0)
Yay!!! So happy for you!!
Congrats, Donna!! Love the Haiku – very cute. 🙂
Thanks Carlie! :0)
