I’m Donna Louise Sadd. Born and raised in New York, I then spent 16 years in S. Florida and now have six years under my belt living out in the woods in beautiful Central Texas Hill Country.
I was a copywriter and moved up to assistant to the president of a New York advertising agency, then went on to market my small businesses and those of others using well-crafted words.
Words have been my life. That’s why I shake my head now…I believe I’ve finally embarked on the road that I was meant to follow, writing children’s books!
I originally got the idea of writing my first children’s book while I was hanging out with my young nieces one day. We wondered why one of my newly adopted little dachshunds, Lucci (pronounced loochy) never gave smoochies, and I started rhyming verses while sketching the beginning pages of the children’s picture book, LUCCI THE NO SMOOCHIE POOCHIE. We had a ball, and I later finished the story and illustrations and had the book printed and bound for gifts.
