DAY 22- NIGHT

Night’s

Repose

In calm dark

Sleeps a dreamer

Hush

Well, we did it! The month is over, and so is #AprilPrompts and NaPoWriMo. Before that, it was Terri Giuliano Long’s #BlogFlash2013, and quite frankly, I’m exhausted.

Thanks to  my co-host, Carlie M A Cullen for joining me on this wild writing ride! Thank you for popping in and commenting on the work; I greatly appreciate it. I made new friends too-boot, so it was all well worth it. :0)

Now, I’m off to play catch up with my 12 x 12 Picture Book Group commitment, and dive into a big ‘ol stack of books!

Down

Longing

Counting hours

Until we touch

Blue

#AprilPrompts – Day 20 – Love – #NaPoWriMo

We're almost at an ending,
April's almost over.
I'm feeling kind of heart-sick,
I should be clover.

The month has been quite busy,
Creating posts each day.
My mind went round in circles,
As verses had their way.

I'd love a steady chance to,
Post poetry each day.
But if I did continue,
My hair would turn to grey.

Will do random postings of,
Poems from time to time.
Free verse and my fave haiku,
For kids, it will be rhyme.

Thanks for all your sweet, kind words,  
'Bout what I'd post that day.
Am grateful to all of you,
For bolstering my way.

This challenge is soon ending.
My schedule's almost clear.
Wouldn't miss the chance to say,
LOVE sharing with you here!

GUILT
Don't know why it's me you asked.
I did not do it, I said.
Why do you just pick on me?
Ask someone else instead.

There's four kids in this big old house,
But you don't suspect those guys.
How is it you think that I'm,
The only kid who lies?

You try the old black tongue test,
To see if I'm a liar.
Stare, to try to make me break.
Nope, I'm not a crier.

You make me go to my room,
And clean up all my messes.
You have wasted half the day,
Hoping 'he' confesses.

I gotta get out of here,
To play with all my friends.
How long will it take until,
This inquisition ends?

I can't take this guilt no more.
Alright, okay, I did it!
Took the skateboard from out front
And went ahead and hid it!

[Don't know how they always know,
That I'm the guilty one.
Can't keep myself from trouble.
To me, it's worth the fun!]
